USC's Kevin Epley Named ITA National Coach Of The Year

The Gamecock Women's Tennis Head Coach Receives The Highest Honor By The Intercollegiate Tennis Association

COLUMBIA, S.C. — After USC finishes their best season in program history in the Elite 8, Kevin Epley, the women's tennis head coach, was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Coach of the year. 

Kevin is the first head coach in program history to win the national honor.  He also won SEC Coach Of the year.

Under his leadership the Gamecocks won their first SEC tournament title, were ranked a program best number three in the country and went undefeated on the road in the SEC for two straight years.

But you can't do that without players and senior Ingrid Martins is the ITA National Women's Senior Player of the year. She also won the SEC Player of the Year award. 

Martins was ranked fourth nationally in singles and was part of the number one doubles team which is the highest ranking for any women in program history in a single season.
