Columbia Fireflies president John Katz said the offseason following the 2018 season was when his staff started pointing towards the one million mark in attendance at Segra Park.

Tebow, numerous school outings, Thirsty Thursdays and four July 4th holiday celebrations have contributed to the attendance.

For the Fireflies, what better way for the Fireflies to say thank you to the fans than by giving one lucky fan a shot at one million dollars.

Team Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations Abby Naas is overseeing the contest which involves fans receiving raffle tickets which go into a huge drum. Out of that drum will be the ticket belong to three winners, one of whom is the grand prize winner whose name will be known in the third inning. From there, it's a matter of picking out five matching envelopes from a group of 35. That post-game contest will determine if someone walks about with a nice prize or a million dollar prize.
