There will be five state championships crowned in high school football and all five games will be decided on Friday, after the state moved the games due to the threat of potential inclement weather.
The Friday night schedule at Benedict's Charlie W. Johnson Stadium will remain intact as the Class A and AA games will go on as scheduled. But while those games are going on, there will also be action at Williams-Brice Stadium as the three games set for Saturday are now on Friday due to the fact that there is a chance wintry weather could impact some parts of the state Saturday.
At present, News19 is not forecasting snow or ice for the Midlands on Saturday, but the Upstate could be at some risk.
Here is the new schedule for games at Williams-Brice Stadium for Friday.
1:00 pm - AAAA Greer vs Myrtle Beach
4:00 pm - AAA Chester vs Dillon
7:30 pm - AAAAA T.L. Hanna vs Dutch Fork
The games at Benedict College remain the same for Friday.
5:30 p.m. Class A Lamar vs Green Sea-Floyds
8:00 p.m. Class AA Abbeville vs Barnwell
