Basketball fans in the Midlands saw some of the best talent to come out of the Palmetto State in recent years in the seventh annual South Carolina Pro-Am at Heathwood Hall.
The headliners for the event included former Gamecocks Sindarius Thornwell and PJ Dozier along with fomer USC-Upstate star Torrey Craig.
But it was another former Gamecock, Devan Downey, who led the Jets to an 89-77 win over Bernie's Chicken in the championship game of the Pro-Am. Downey led the way with 21 points. Current Gamecock Maik Kotsar added 19.
Former Dreher standout Tevin Mack, who transferred to Alabama from Texas, made an appearance at the Pro-Am. After sitting out last season due to NCAA transfer rules, Mack will suit up for the Crimson Tide this season.
