Sindarius Thornwell Dishes On His Toughest Defensive Assignment

As Sindarius Thornwell reflects on his rookie season in the NBA, he talks about who is the toughest player he has had to guard.

Sindarius Thornwell is always working to improve his defense, something Frank Martin emphasizes and the former SEC Player of the Year has taken that mindset to the NBA.

Thornwell, a former SEC All_Defensive team selection, has gone head to head with the NBA's best and he says a popular question for him from fans is who is the toughest player to guard. Thornwell says the sharpshooter for the Warriors is the answer to that question.

"The hardest person for me is probably Steph (Curry) because he doesn't allow you to guard him," Thornwell said.

"He's always moving. He's never at a standstill. James Harden, LeBron, all the other superstars, they stop the ball. You know they go to iso-mode and they slow it down. It's easier to guard a guy when he's stopped and trying to set you up whereas Steph is running around and he can shoot it whenever he touches the ball. So I feel like Steph is the hardest for me."

Thornwell hopes his second year in the league will see him improve in all areas, especially when it comes to slowing down Steph.
