COLUMBIA, SC — The Midlands was well represented on the USA Today All-USA South Carolina girls basketball teams.
Spring Valley head coach Megan Assey earned coach of the year honors as she led the Vikings to the 5A state title.
Swansea junior Danae McNeal was named State Player of The Year. She he was also the 3A player of the year.
Also on the first team with Danae is Westwood guard Unique Drake. She averaged 21 points a game this season and led the Redhawks to the 4A Upper state title game.
Clemson commit Ashley Williamson of Spring Valley and Lexington guard Olivia Thompson were second team selections.
