Steve Spurrier has another coaching assignment.

The all-time winningest coach at South Carolina and Florida will join former Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer as the coaches for the Polynesian Bowl in Hawaii.

The all-star game features the top 100 high school seniors and will be played on January 18, 2020, at Honolulu's Aloha Stadium. The game will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.

Spurrier has a college career record of 228-89-2 over 26 seasons, 12 with Florida, 11 with South Carolina and three with Duke. He led the Gators to their first National Championship in 1996, the same year he became the first Heisman winner (1966) to coach another (Danny Wuerffel). He led the Gamecocks to unprecedented heights with three consecutive 11-win seasons and an SEC Eastern Division title in 2010.

The HBC last coached in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football. He is still employed in Gainesville by his alma mater as an ambassador.
