It is a guarantee one member of the Jack Leggett coaching tree will be a national championship head coach this season.
Vanderbilt is led by Tim Corbin who left Clemson after the 2002 season. He won a national championship with tbe Commodores in 2014.
In the opposing dugout are the surprising Michigan Wolverines led by former Tiger volunteer assistant coach Erik Bakich who was with Corbin on that Clemson staff in 2002. He followed Corbin to Vanderbilt and later went on the be the head coach at Maryland and now Michigan.
The Wolverines are one win away from claiming the national championship after winning Monday night. That would be Bakich's first as a head coach and the first for the Wolverines since 1962.
