It's go or go home for the USC softball team who fell to No., 8-seeded Arizona State 5-2 in game one of that best-of-three series in the Tempe Super Regional at Farrington Stadium.
Kennedy Clark's two-run homer in the seventh was the only runs against ASU pitcher Giselle Juarez who came into the contest with a 25-4 record and a 0.88 ERA. Juarez held Carolina hitless until Alyssa VanDerveer singled in the seventh before Clark's home run.
Dixie Raley (14-5) took the loss on the mound as she went 2.1 innings with three runs and a strikeout.
Game two of the series is tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET.
