AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities have released the name of a Batesburg man who died in an early-morning crash involving an all-terrain vehicle on Saturday morning.

According to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables, the crash happened on private property in the area of Holder and Hadden roads around 1:30 a.m.

The coroner said the victim, 23-year-old Dryth Fulmer was riding a Can-Am BRP side-by-side and traveling north north on Holder Road when he lost control after hitting an embankment. The coroner said the vehicle then overturned.

As a result of the crash, Fulmer died at the scene.  Two other occupants of the side-by-side were taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Ables said his office and the Aiken County Sheriff's Office are investigating the crash and a toxicology analysis is pending.
