CSX railroad will be removing warning signals at two major intersections in the Columbia area on March 2 and March 3.
All signals, including the cantilevers located on St. Andrews Road (between Piney Grove Rd and Tram Rd) and Bush River Road (near Saluda Shoals Park), will be taken down.
Traffic control personnel for CSX plan to close Bush River Road on Tuesday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CSX traffic control personnel will be implementing a flagging operation to allow traffic to cross one side at the time. This will be a stop-and-go operation.
At the St. Andrews location, there will be lane closures with a traffic shift on Wednesday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
