LEXINGTON, S.C. — The 5000 block of Sunset Boulevard has been shut down due to a natural gas leak, according to the Lexington Police. 

According to Lexington County, area businesses have been evacuated as a precautionary measure.

According to Lexington Police, the leak extends to the 5100 block in front of Target. 

Eastbound traffic is being diverted from Sunset to Mineral Springs. Westbound traffic is being diverted from Sunset to Corley Mill Road.  

Drivers are advised to find an alternate route while emergency personnel work in the area.
