Traffic alert: Expect delays during Vice President's visit to Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Motorists in the Cayce/Columbia area may see some roads blocked and traffic delays when Vice President Mike Pence is in town.

Pence will be in Columbia to meet with Governor Henry McMaster and education officials to discuss school reopening amid coronavirus concerns before heading to Charleston for a campaign event for Nancy Mace.

The vice president is expected to arrive at Columbia Metropolitan Airport around 10:45 a.m. and travel through downtown Columbia. Roads along the route may have intersections blocked while the vice president's motorcade passes.
