Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A freeze warning is in effect early Friday morning due to the low temperatures that are expected when everyone wakes up.
The warning is in effect for the following counties from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m.: Richland, Lexington, Calhoun, Sumter, Lee, Kershaw, Orangeburg, and Clarendon.
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 30s across the region.
Freezing temperatures could kill sensitive vegetation and damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. You may want to take precautions to protect plants sensitive to freezing temperatures.
