Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Most of the Midlands is under a freeze warning for Saturday night into Sunday morning.
The warning was issued early Saturday morning for the following counties: Calhoun, Clarendon, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Newberry, Richland, Saluda, Sumter.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are expect. The weather service says these conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and damage outdoor plumbing.
Temperatures will drop into the upper 20s and lower 30s across the Midlands Sunday morning. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing across the area by 9 am Sunday morning.
The weekend will be dry, but the chance for rain returns to the area Monday.
