Malcolm Wilson Is Down To H-Town, D.C. or Tigertown

Ridge View center Malcolm Wilson will choose between Clemson, Rice and Georgetown.

He helped lead Ridge View basketball to its first Class 4A state championship and his 6-10 frame has made him a target of Division One programs.

Over the weekend, Malcom Wilson announced his top three schools and it's between the ACC, Conference USA or the Big East.

The 6-10 Wilson will choose between Clemson, Rice and Georgetown. USC and Georgia Tech also offered him but he informed the coaches there that they did not make his final three.

Wilson averaged 9.9 points and 6.4 blocks for the Blazers last season.

Clemson is coming off a Sweet 16 season under head coach Brad Brownell who just received a new contract extension after leading the Tigers to a 25-10 record. The 25 wins tied a program record and the 11 ACC wins set a school record.

Rice went 7-24 last season and won just four games in Conference USA.

Georgetown is an intriguing option. Led by former Georgetown and New York Knick star Patrick Ewing, the Hoyas went 15-15 in Ewing's first year as head coach. He spent 15 years as an NBA assistant.
