Columbia, SC (WLTX) — Two accidents snarled traffic on I-20 West between Broad River Road and Fairfield Road Monday morning.
The section of I-20 West was closed for several hours, beginning with the first accident shortly before 5 a.m. Another accident occurred around 7 a.m., again closing down all lanes of traffic.
Richland County coroner Gary Watts confirmed to News 19 that the original accident, which involved multiple vehicles, resulted in a death. No additional details were immediately available.
