COLUMBIA, S.C. — As state-reported COVID case numbers begin to drop around South Carolina, the thought of travel and a little bit of weekend fun are beginning to seem within reach for some.

Fortunately, for those in or visiting Columbia, U.S. News & World Report has a few suggestions of things to do while in town - 23 of them. For residents, plenty of these suggestions, like Main Street and the Riverbanks Zoo & Botanical Garden may be common knowledge.

But for those coming into town for the first time, the list is a good run-through of popular venues for exploration and entertainment.
