Saturday night shooting at Colony Apartments leaves one critically wounded

The shooting happened in the 6400 block of Bailey Street, police said.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Police say one person is in the hospital in critical condition following a Saturday night shooting at a Columbia apartment complex.

Columbia Police said officers arrived at the 6400 block of Bailey Street, Colony Apartments, where they found a male victim with wounds to the upper body. Police said that he remained in critical condition as of Saturday night.

Police said they had collected ballistic evidence from the scene and planned to review surveillance video. Authorities didn't release any additional information about the shooting as the investigation continues.
