Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The South Carolina Department of Corrections has arrested two woman accused of trying to bring contraband into a prison.
Lashonda D. Kelly and Edith Moore James were arrested Saturday.
The Department of Corrections says that during visitation, they put the times in a white package that was placed under a tan and dark brown shawl. The inmate they were getting them for, Lord Shameal Allah, then took the items and hid them.
Allah is serving a life sentence for murder.
According to corrections officers,among the items they tried to bring in were pills, a smartphone, and an Amazon FireStick,
Both were booked into the Richland County jail.
