$60,000 in Heroin Seized in Sumter, 3 People Arrested

Sumter, SC (WLTX) - — Sumter police have arrested three men and confiscated over $60,000 in drugs after months-long investigation in the city.

In a statement, Sumter Police Chief Russell Roark called the heroin seizure "significant."

Officers say on Thursday, officers searched seven homes on East Newberry Avenue and Ashby Road. During the search, officers say they found 4.2 ounces of heroin that officers say has a street value of $60,000.

They also discovered 10 grams of marijuana, 30 Ecstacy tablets, five guns, and $5,000 in cash.

Police arrested the following suspects:

Patrick Clifton Clark, 49 - He's charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin within a half-mile of a school or park.

Patrick Rashard Clark, 25 - He's charged with trafficking heroin, trafficking heroin within a half-mile of a school or park, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Roosevelt Antonio Foster, 35 - He's charged with possession with intent to distribute Ecstacy within a half-mile of a school or park and felon in possession of a firearm.
