COLUMBIA, S.C. — The dates have been announced for the 2024 Ag+Art Tour, a free statewide self-guided tour of farms and markets grouped by county that gives residents a close-up view of where their food comes from (the Ag part) while highlighting local artisans and crafters (the Art part).
Beginning on May 4 with McCormick County and running through June 29-30 with Chester and Laurens counties, grab a cooler (or two) and pack your car with family and friends and head out to see the farm animals and buy some fresh produce and artwork.
Richland County's spot on the tour is June 8-9 and organizers are seeking artists, crafters, artisan bakers, storytellers, acoustic musicians and more to set up a booth on one of the 20 farms on the tour. Approved artists can sell their products on site and can also choose to participate in Ag+Art Tour weekends in multiple counties.
Artisans have until 5 p.m. April 15 to apply online at agandarttour.com/for-artisans.
