COLUMBIA, S.C. — He is a legend in the world of comedy, starting out at the Improv Comedy Club in New York City before roles in movies such as Do the Right Thing, House Party, and the Bad Boys franchise and his own television series, Martin.

Martin Lawrence is back on the road, headlining the Y'all Know What It Is tour, set to appear at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on September 7. Tickets for the show, which will include guest comedians Deon Cole (black-ish and those Old Spice commercials) and Benji Brown (Rickey Smiley Morning Show), go on sale -- online only to the general public at martinlawrencetickets.com -- 10 a.m. Friday, May 17. Any remaining tickets for this event will go on sale at ticketmaster.com and at the Prisma Health Box Office on the next Ticket Tuesday.

“Comedy gives me that instant gratification,” Lawrence says. “Seeing the fans up close and in person, making people laugh, doing what I love most, this is what it’s all about for me. But hey…y’all know what it is!”

In addition to the live tour, Lawrence will be back on the movie screens with Will Smith in the latest installment of the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, on June 7.
