Lee's Review: 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'

"In your universe there's only one Spider-Man, but there is another universe. It looks and sounds like yours, but it's not. My name is Miles Morales."

(WLTX) - Still haven't decided what you want for Christmas? How about a new Spider-Man? I know, we've got plenty as it is - but this one's different. Completely different! But what about Peter Parker? He's there too...but he shouldn't be.

You see, the various universes have been scrambled by the Kingpin in a selfish effort to spend more time with his dead wife and child. Now, we have multiple webcrawlers occupying the same space. And, if they don't get home soon, they will slowly disintegrate (which is supposedly very painful).

Their only hope is Miles Morales because he's the only one who belongs in this universe. Unfortunately, he's still adjusting to his superpowers. So, in order to get him up to speed, Peter serves as a Spidey coach (of sorts).

I'll admit, it's a little puzzling and far-fetched. But it's also plenty of fun! And, since it's an animated movie, it's a little easier to accept the absurdities. My animated doppelganger, the Leemoji, certainly approved. Then again, there's hardly anything to disapprove!

Naturally, Stan Lee has a notable posthumous scene and, yes, there's something at the end of the credits that is worth waiting for. So keep your seat! Because the Spider-Verse is a web worth getting tangled up in!
