SULLIVAN'S ISLAND, S.C. — A restaurant with an unusual take on pizza on the South Carolina coast just made a top 100 list released by one of the internet's most-viewed review websites.

Yelp recently released its list of top pizza spots in the U.S., and The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan's Island comes in at 75. Yelp said the ranking was based on multiple factors, including volume and number of five-star reviews written by the "Yelp Elite Squad members.

While the list includes plenty of traditional pizza and pizza places in New York and California, Yelp highlighted a pizza from The Obstinate Daughter that focuses more on its coastal connections - beet-cured salmon flatbread. The restaurant menu includes other seafood-inspired pizzas and others with more familiar ingredients.

The restaurant has an average Yelp rating of 4.5 stars with more than 1,400 reviews.

A little higher on the list and not far from South Carolina is Savannah, Georgia's Vinnie Van Go-Go's, a well-known stop for locals and tourists in the City Market area of town. The restaurant specializes in New York-style pizza but has plenty of specialty ingredients. It took the 68th spot on the list. It has a rating of 4.1 out of nearly 1,500 reviews.

As for folks wondering what took the top spot on the list, prepare for a road trip. Chicago's Pequod's Pizzeria took first place, which it said has had pizzas appear twice on "The Bear." Aside from roughly 8,000 positive reviews, the restaurant was also recognized for some of its most popular and photographed pizzas that include ingredients like carmelized chees cust and sausage and, despite the topping's naysayers, even pineapple.
