Go inside Wayfair's new North Carolina outlet: How good are the deals?

It's one of only four discount locations from the company nationwide.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The new Wayfair Outlet is up and running in Greensboro on Bridford Parkway. It's one of only four discount locations from the company nationwide. 2 Wants To Know stopped by to check out what kind of deals you can find in the store, and it was like Black Friday crowds for opening day. There was a 45-minute wait to check out.

This green velvet sofa was a pretty good example of your average discount. It originally sold for $1,159, but now you can get it for $522. That's 55 percent off.

Overall folks out shopping seemed to think there were some good buys.

“The prices are amazing! You are saving thousands of dollars in here,” one shopper told us.

Another shopper said, “You'll get it for a lower price, right. And you have an opportunity to see what you want. And touch it and feel it versus the online.”

Store employees say they will get four to five new merchandise trucks every week. And they plan on marking down the price of items the longer they sit in the store.

It's not just furniture. You can also buy appliances like a Kitchen-Aid mixer and even a hot tub. But with so many options, some shoppers found it a bit overwhelming.

“For me, you just have to know exactly what you're looking for. I'm probably still going to shop on the wayfair.com if I'm being quite honest,” one shopper said.

While Wayfair Outlet deals are about 50 percent off, there's another place in the Triad where you can get furniture up to 90 percent off! And your purchase goes to benefit a good cause!

Habitat for Humanity in High Point gets all kinds of furniture market samples because companies don't want to pay to ship items back to their warehouse after the convention.

Here's an example of what you'll find there! This consol table is $150 at the store, but $1,400 online. That's 90 percent off! Habitat says they are already reaching new stuff from Market that wrapped up Wednesday, and they have even more inventory next week. You can follow them on Facebook to see what items are added to the store.
