Colite Technologies to relocate, establish headquarters in Columbia

Sustainable energy company to renovate building on Millwood Avenue to create office space, warehouse

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Colite Technologies, a company specializing in renewable energy solutions, announced it has purchased a new building in Columbia to renovate and use as its headquarters as it expands its reach across the Southeast.

The 15,000-square-foot building, the former site of Nuttal Tires at 2405 Millwood near the intersection of Gervais Street, will be renovated to a modern office space with a warehouse, with work scheduled to be complete by summer 2024.

“The acquisition of this facility is the next step in our strategy to build a national best-in-class commercial renewable energy business right here in the Midlands,” said Kevin O’Hara, Co-founder, President and CEO of Colite Technologies. “All of the ingredients are in place including a marvelous pool of young talent coming out of the University of South Carolina and other local institutions of higher education. I want to thank the City of Columbia and Richland County for their support in making this a reality. Colite Technologies and this building will showcase what’s possible in Columbia.”

Colite Technologies was founded in 2018 within Colite International, a locally owned global leader in signage and signage services in the South Carolina Research Park in northeast Columbia. With the growth of the sustainable energy market, Colite Technologies was set up as an independent company focused on sustainable energy solutions -- including C&I solar PV systems, off-grid renewable energy-powered lighting systems, LED lighting retrofits, and EV charging equipment.
