COLUMBIA, S.C. — Seeking innovative projects and events that will increase tourism to the City of Columbia, city leaders will begin accepting applications for Hospitality Tax Grant Funding for the 2024/2025 Fiscal Year (beginning July 1 and ending June 30) on Friday, March 1.

Nonprofit organizations who have projects or events aimed at attracting tourists by promoting dining in the City of Columbia are encouraged to apply for the H-Tax grants that will provide financial support to those organizations. For a nonprofit to be eligible for funding, it must have documentation filed with the South Carolina Secretary of State's Office and conduct activities in the City of Columbia.

The online application window opens Friday, March 1, and close Friday, March 29, 2024. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applications that are received on time and deemed eligible will be considered for grant awards.

New groups wanting to file applications are suggested to attend the online Hospitality Tax workshop at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 29. Look for the link provided for the meeting, which is free to attend.
