Arrest made in killing of man near Columbia Mexican restaurant

A man has been arrested in connection to a murder victim found outside a Forest Drive restaurant

COLUMBIA, S.C. — An arrest has been made in connection to a killing of a man in April near a Mexican restaurant on Forest Drive. 

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announced the arrest of a 48-year-old man in connection with an April murder investigation

Conrad Anderson, 48 was located by members of the CPD Fugitive Team and the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force on Cedar Terrace Street. He's  charged with murder in the death of a man on April 5, 2019 at the 5400 block of Forest Drive, outside of the San Jose Mexican Restaurant.

According to Richland County Coroner Gary Watts, the victim, Charles Crane, died as a result of blunt force trauma. 

CPD Investigators believe that the suspect and victim were acquaintances and argued moments before the deadly incident.
