Bond Set for Murder Suspect

(WLTX) - A man accused of a killing a man more than four years ago had his bond set Monday.A judge set bond for 30-year-old Mark Anthony Richardson at $100,000.Richardson was arrested last week in connection with the disappearance and murder of Shelton Sanders back in 2001. Richardson must pay 10% of his bond, and will not be allowed contact with the family.Investigators say Richardson shot Sanders on the night he disappeared at a residence on Olympia Avenue in Columbia. The two were roommates. Prosecutors also say witnesses have told them that Richardson had expressed a desire to murder one of his friends.Sanders was the son of a prominent former magistrate in Sumter County, William Sanders. He was enrolled at the University of South Carolina when he went missing.
