(Columbia) - It took a Columbia courtroom jury only 30 minutes to convict a Columbia man for the murder of a University of North Carolina football player who use to play for the University of South Carolina.23-year-old Jeroid Price was found guilty Friday for the shooting death of 22-year-old Carl Smalls. It happened last December at Club VooDoo in Columbia. Authorities say name calling started the fight.Price's family says he could serve up to 35 years in prison, and his mother insists he's innocent saying that the media is to blame.Price's mother says she'll care for her son's 5 children.
