Hit-and-run on Rosewood Drive leaves man seriously injured; investigation underway

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police are investigating a crash that left one person with serious injuries.

The department announced on Thursday that passersby found the victim at the intersection of Rosewood Drive and South Gregg Street around 7 a.m. and called 911. Authorities said that, at last check, the victim was in serious condition.

Investigators with the Columbia Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit are treating the crash as a hit-and-run. As the investigation continues, authorities haven't released any descriptive information regarding the possible vehicle or suspect.
