Body of man reported missing in Lexington County found in creek; now two people are charged in his murder - and one other

Investigators said the cases are still open, and new charges could emerge as more details arise.

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities have arrested a man and woman they believe are responsible for two separate murders in late 2023. The discovery of a body on Friday now suggests one of those victims was a missing man in Lexington County.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has charged 22-year-old Allon Triante Adams of Leesville and 19-year-old Cady Elise Keener of Lexington with two counts of murder, armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and the desecration of human remains.

According to a statement from Sheriff Jay Koon, detectives believe the two shot a man, later identified as Devon Tricoche, to death during a robbery in the 600 block of Kestrel Drive in Leesville on Nov. 28. Authorities allege Adams and Keener discharged Tricoche's body in the Edisto River in Aiken County.

Authorities now believe the two also killed another man, Tony Etheredge Jr., while trying to rob him on Parrish Road in Leesville on Dec. 30. The sheriff's department said they initially left Etheredge's body off Parrish Road but later dumped the victim into Black Creek, where he was found on Friday evening.

Etheredge had been the subject of a missing person search after his family lost contact with him. His truck was found vacant near Truex Road and Rish Drive.

Sheriff Koon said that despite the arrests, the investigations into both deaths remain open, and more charges could follow.

He urged anyone with information about either incident to contact the sheriff's department or Crime Stoppers, the latter of which can be reached at 1-888-CRIME-SC or CrimeSC.com.
