SUMTER, S.C. — One person is dead after a Sunday evening shooting.
According to Sumter Police the shooting happened around 5pm when officers responded to Carver Street for reports of multiple gunfire.
When officers arrived they found a man laying in the road. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The man killed has been identified by the Sumter coroner as Tijah Mauron Clarkson, 25, of Love Street. An autopsy is scheduled.
