Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - Orangeburg County deputies have arrested a man they say took more than $6,000 from a church almost nine years ago.
Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says 65-year-old Louis Herbert Gray is charged with breach of trust.
Back in 2005, investigators say North Orangeburg United Methodist Church gave Gray $6,526 to secure a grant that he never was able to secure. Investigators say he made statements back then that he would repay the money, but he never did.
A warrant was issued for him in December of 2005.
Gray was arrested in Charlotte.
