Richland One offering summer jobs, internships for district teens

Program runs from June to August with possibility of extension into the 2024-2025 school year

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Are you a teen looking for a summer job? Do you live in Richland County School District One and are at least 16 years of age?

If you answer "Yes" to these questions, there may be some job opportunities available for you, not too far from home.

Richland One is offering summer jobs and internships through the district's R1 Teen Jobs/Internships Program. Jobs will run from June through August, with a possibility of an extension into the 2024-2025 school year. Starting pay is $10 per hour, and the work schedule is up to 25 hours per week. Students can earn academic credit, get a head start in their field of study in college or gain experience that will prepare them for the workforce.

Positions are available only for Richland One students who are at least 16 years old and have their own transportation.

Deadline to apply for open positions is May 23.
