Hip Hop festival brings thousands to downtown Columbia

Love, Peace and Hip Hop Festival celebrates music and culture in its seventh year.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The 7th annual Love, Peace and Hip Hop Festival continued today with Hip Hop Family Day bringing hundreds to Columbia's Main Street for music, food and fun.

The free event brought live performers to the capital city, including grammy-award winning artist Big Daddy Kane. He along with other historic musicians like Sugar Hill Gang and The Furious Five were all scheduled to appear. 

Popular DJs also graced the stage. 

Along the street, painters, craft and food vendors, and even News 19 set up for people to enjoy.
