Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia law enforcement arrested a man in connection to a Kentucky high school shooting threat Wednesday.
Kentucky police say 34-year-old Felix Melquinoes Martinez, of Columbia, texted a student at Harlan High School in Kentucky saying he would shoot everyone during the school's graduation on May 19.
The student has known the Martinez for about 5 years, according to a report.
He was booked at the Richland County Detention Center after being arrested at his Columbia workplace by a fugitive task force.
He awaits extradition to Harlan County in Kentucky, where he will face a second-degree terroristic threatening charge, a Class D felony. A firearm charge was also added in South Carolina.
