Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Red and white balloons filled the sky as family and friends celebrated the life of Tiquan Taylor.
The 14-year-old was killed Sunday. According to deputies 16-year-old Desmond Cromer shot Taylor while he attempted to rob him.
"He (Taylor) was funny and he was sweet. He was real smooth with his words. He was a charmer," Amari Robertson said. "He was just a fun person to be around. Never a dull moment around him."
Veric Hampton said Taylor could always put a smile on your face.
"He was funny. He would just make you laugh a lot. He was a good person though," he said.
Jada Neal said the two would always stick up for one another and that there was nobody like Tiquan.
"He was a jokester. I don't think I ever had seen him mad. And if I had it wasn't long," she said.
Cromer is being charged as an adult and is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
