Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A South Carolina man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for uploading child pornography to the web.
Edward Neiger, 66, plead guilty in a Lexington County court to five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor second-degree, and five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor third degree.
Prosecutors say that between 2014 and 2015, Neigler uploaded 900 files of child pornography to Imgur, an image-sharing website. Investigators also found evidence that he posted links to child pornography on Internet chat rooms and had sent other child pornography through a file-sharing network.
In addition to those discoveries, investigators found over 1.6 million sexually explicit images of children on computer equipment found at his home, and another 11,400 sexually explicit videos of minors.
It's believed the man had been sharing the files over a 12-year-period.
