ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old South Carolina man set himself on fire after pouring gasoline on his girlfriend, who was able to run away with just minor injuries.
Investigators said the man suffered extensive burns Wednesday morning in the fire at an Anderson home and has been taken to a burn center in Augusta, Georgia.
Anderson County Sheriff's Office spokesman Andy Tribble said the man poured gasoline on the woman, but she ran away before he could set her on fire.
Fire officials told news outlets as many as five fires were set inside the home.
