Meet the newest member of the Budweiser Clydesdales

Say hello to the newest Clydesdale at Warm Springs Ranch.

BOONVILLE, Mo. — You may be able to see some of the Budweiser Clydesdales on TV this Super Bowl Sunday, but the only place to meet the newest member of the family will be Warm Springs Ranch.

On Monday, the 300-plus-acre breeding and training facility for the Budweiser Clydesdales in Boonville, Missouri, introduced the newest member of the team. In a press release, the ranch said the colt, which was not named in the release, was born recently and is enjoying time with the more than 70 other Clydesdales at the facility.

The foal has big shoes to fill. The Clydesdales became mainstays in commercials and parades after they were introduced in 1933 after Prohibition was repealed.

“You never know what lies ahead for these gentle giants,” said Amy Trout, herd supervisor at Warm Springs Ranch. “The foals are so much fun to see up close, and you never know – he might just end up on a Budweiser commercial in the future.”

Some other members of the Clydesdales family will be on the biggest stage on Super Bowl Sunday.  This year's Super Bowl ad honors the St. Louis-based brewer's tradition with the return of the Budweiser Clydesdales.

The teaser trailer posted Thursday on Budweiser's YouTube channel shows a team of the iconic Clydesdales trotting majestically through the snow.

"The Clydesdales are back: 2.11.24," the commercial teaser reads.
