SC joins investigation on Instagram's impact

State Attorney General Alan Wilson joined the nationwide investigation into the platforms impact on children.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — State Attorney General Alan Wilson joined a nationwide investigation into Instagram's impact on children and young adults. 

Last month a former employee for Meta, formerly Facebook,  who own's Instagram and claimed the social media platform knew its app could physically and mentally harm children.

In a statement Wilson says he's worried the company is using younger age groups to try and get as much personal information about them as possible.
