Mega Millions, Powerball jackpots over half-a-billion dollars; two SC tickets missed jackpot by one number

Check your tickets if you purchased a Powerball ticket in Taylors or Columbia for the March 11 drawing

COLUMBIA, S.C. — So far, no one has won the big Mega Millions or Powerball jackpots, but that doesn't mean that no one has come close. If you purchased a Powerball ticket in Columbia or Taylors for the March 11 drawing, check your tickets -- you only missed the jackpot by one number.

In Taylors, a Powerball ticket with PowerPlay sold at the Yana Food Mart, 6035 Wade Hampton Blivd. is worth $250,000.

In Columbia, a Powerball ticket purchased at Harry's #4 at 9900 Two Notch Rd. is worth $50,000.

Both tickets match four white ball numbers and the red Powerball® number (1, 3, 7, 16, 66 and PB: 5) at odds of 1 in 913,129. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Meanwhile, tonight's Mega Millions draws for $735 million and Wednesday's Powerball is currently at $559 million.

Mega Millions jackpot odds are about 1 in 303 million. Powerball jackpot odds are about 1 in 293 million.

Tickets for tonight’s Mega Millions® drawing that ranks as the game’s sixth largest must be purchased by 10 p.m. for the 11 p.m. drawing.
