Recount Results Are In

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- The recounts fromlast Tuesday's primaries are back, andthey've helped to settle at least one race.

South Carolina Democrat Bob Conley will face U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham in November. The North Myrtle Beach engineer took a 1,058-vote lead over Mount Pleasant lawyer Michael Cone in a recount today.

Cone told The Associated Press he has no plans to protest the outcome and is conceding to Conley. Cone says he may remain on the ballot in November as the nominee of the Working Families Party although he's talking with the party about finding another nominee.

The recounts left Florence Mayor Frank Willis one vote short of his opponent Stephen Wukela. In Spartanburg County, Landrum Representative Bob Walker lost the primary to challenger Joey Millwood by 19 votes and is considering a protest. Columbia Representative John Scott beat Vince Ford by 75 votes for state Senate seat.
