Police: 82-year-old man heading last seen in Aiken missing, considered endangered

Authorities urge anyone who sees Paul Violette to call the police.

AIKEN, S.C. — Aiken authorities are asking the public to keep an eye out for a missing 82-year-old man who they believe is heading out of state.

The Aiken Department of Public Safety said it is looking for Paul Violette, and officials are worried about his safety. He was last seen leaving Sandstone Boulevard around 10 a.m. and was heading to Shallote, North Carolina, police said.

At the time, he was driving a 1996 GMC truck with a five-by-seven utility trailer. He wore a blue and maroon plaid shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

The Aiken Department of Public Safety urges anyone with information about his location to call their office at 803-642-7620.
