ROCK HILL (AP) - The Senate's lone woman member Linda Short of Chester, is preparing for her 14th year in the General Assembly. Short says she focuses on issues of "heart andhome." Other senators say though she is the only woman among 46 members, her voice gets heard. Lawmakers return to Columbia on Tuesday for the 2006 session.
