COLUMBIA, S.C. — The second-ranked South Carolina women's golf team will be playing in the Auburn Regional as the top seed. That regional begins May 6-8 at the Auburn University Club and it marks the 25th consecutive NCAA Regional appearance for the program.
When the Gamecocks tee off at the Auburn Regional, it will be the fourth-straight year the Gamecocks have earned a No. 1 seed.
Teams will play 54-holes of stroke play at the six regional sites across the country with the top-five teams and top individual on non-advancing teams punching their tickets to the NCAA Championship.
This year’s championship will take place at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. May 17-22.
With four victories this season, South Carolina will be looking for its 11th trip to the NCAA Championship in the last 14 seasons under head coach Kalen Anderson. The three-time SEC Coach of the Year has led Carolina to 12 NCAA Championships with three top-five finishes in her 17 seasons as head coach.
