COLUMBIA, S.C. — A Tuesday afternoon house fire has displaced four people in the Blue Ridge Terrace neighborhood in north Columbia.
Columbia-Richland Fire Department reports smoke and heavy fire were pouring out of the garage of the home when crews arrived on the scene on Flamingo Drive around 1 p.m.
Everyone in the house was able to make it out safely and no injuries were reported at the scene.
The home suffered major damage as fire broke through a part of the roof above the garage. The Richland County Fire Marshal's Office will be investigating the cause of the fire.
