Arrest Made in Graduation Party Shooting

Lexington police have arrested a suspect in a shooting at a graduation party from over the weekend.

Lexington, SC (WLTX) - Lexington police have arrested a suspect in a graduation party shooting from over the weekend.

Quentin Cortez Jerry, 18, is charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and discharging a firearm within town limits.

Around 12:07 a.m., officers got a call that shots had been fired at the party, which took place on Allen Street. When they arrived they found an 18-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the chest.

That person was taken to Palmetto Health Richland for treatment

After an investigation, officers determined Jerry shot the victim, then ran from the scene. He was found with the help of Aiken County deputies.

Lexington Police Chief Terrance Green says more arrests are coming in this case.
